Technology Recycling Program.

Retire Your Old Technology, Securely and Responsibly

Not every organization needs brand-new equipment — but every organization needs old equipment handled properly. Our Technology Recycling Program gives nonprofits and charities a secure, no-cost way to retire computers and hardware that have reached the end of their useful life.

How It Works

When you send equipment our way, here's what happens:

  1. We assess it. If a machine still has life left in it, it's refurbished and matched with an organization in our Starter Program — nothing usable goes to waste.
  2. We securely wipe it. We remove the hard drives of  the computers, and wipe them with a 2-pass data wipe, then the drive itself is recycled too. Your organization's data — and your clients' or donors' data — never leaves in a recoverable state. The hardware gets recycled...
  3. We recycle responsibly. Anything that can't be reused is broken down and recycled through proper e-waste channels, not landfilled and not exported to be someone else's problem.

Why This Matters

Old computers aren't just clutter — they're a data security liability sitting in a storage room. Every drive we handle gets the same secure wipe process regardless of whether the machine is reused or recycled, so your organization's data is protected either way.

How It Works

Fill out the application form below and we'll confirm your eligibility. From there, we set up your WordPress site and send you your login details. Most organizations are up and running within a few business days.

Before You Apply

Do you offer pickup or delivery?

We can typically accommodate drop-off at our Vancouver office, or discuss delivery/pickup for smaller quantities on a case-by-case basis. For donations of more than 10 computers, please contact us to discuss logistics.

Is my organization's data safe?

Yes. Every drive receives a multi-pass secure wipe before any equipment is reused or recycled.

Is there a cost to recycle equipment through this program?

No — the Technology Recycling Program is a free service. We want to make sure your computers are disposed of properly, and honestly, to help us support our Computer Donation Program.

Do you provide a certificate of destruction?

Due to the fact that we often remove hard drives from the chassis we are unable to track every single piece by source. Consequently, we are unable to provide a certificate of destruction. Sorry.

What happens to equipment that can't be reused?

It's broken down and processed through responsible e-waste recycling channels.

What kind of equipment do you accept?

We can accept laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, mice, small printers (under 40 lbs) and most technology items that can fit into the back of a small SUV.
